Final episode votes!

Who will be the WINNER?

Tena votes: Joshua

Twitch always does incredible solos. Tonight was no exception.

Joshua killed the Russian duel. That was off the chain! I think that performance gave him a edge over twitch.

Katee is the most consistent and amazing dancer next to Will, however I don't think people will vote for her.

Didn't really like the Fox Trot Twitch and Katee did.

Joshua's solo was really nice and I think his personality showed thru.

The final Mia Michaels routine was fantastic and the fact that they could pull that off at the end was amazing. Joshua's leaps were over everyone's head and he outshown Twitch. Katee's technique was beautiful and her lines were perfect. Courtney did not look good at all.

My pick to win is Joshua.

Scott and Vanessa vote: Katee

Twitch vs. Joshua? Joshua owned it and it was obvious.

Katee vs. Courtney? Katee owned it and it was obvious.

Katee vs. Joshua? Katee is our girl so we are going with her. She is also the most consistent dancer on the show and could do just about everything! We do like Joshua a lot and it would probably be a coin flip for us if Katee wasn't part of our team. Damn they are both so good.

Mikey votes: Katee

going home: Courtny, Twitch, Joshua
winning: Katee

Seth and Melinda vote: Joshua

We are going to say Courtney and Twitch with Katee in 2nd and Joshua in first.

Jenna votes: Joshua

Well, I have to say...I found last weeks show to be wildly more exciting than this weeks. For a season finale, it was not very spectacular. I mean, I was way more excited about "Samantha Who" than I was about the routines in this show. And to be honest, I don't think it was the dancing. I think it was the choreography.

Can we please please PLEASE have Shane Sparks back? That routine by NappyTabs was horrible. I wanted so much more out of that than we got. I also felt like it was a poor choice in music. Not because the song is bad - the song in fact is killer. However, it was recently used in Step up 2 (not a good movie but check the dancing. Seriously.) and the dancing to that song in particular was unbelieveable. So I heard the song start and I expected this high energy, raw, fast, hip hop routine and I got something that only sort of resembled raw where hits were missed and there was just a general feeling of "eh." For a finale and for that song I expected way more.

I would like to know who had the bright idea to put broadway, jive, and the russian piece in the finale? In general, I find broadway and jive less exciting than many of the other dances they have on the show. They also do not showcase the dancers as much as I would have hoped. The broadway routine was ok, but not something that I was very excited about. And jive is awful. I would have loved to see something else instead, maybe a waltz or a jazz.

I loved the Russian routine. It was great to see on the show and a great showcase for Josh. Not sure if the choreography really helped Twitch out at all or if he just wasn't quite up to par so they had to make it work for him. Or maybe I was just drawn to the big flashy jumps. Even though I loved it, I'm not sure it was the best choice for the last show. I would have LOVED to see them do hip hop together. I know it's not a stretch for versitility, but at this point in the season, we know they can dance. I want to be so excited about a routine that I jump out of my seat and I think a hip hop with the boys could have delivered.

Katee and Josh's contemp routine was amazing. There's no question that they scored in a big way by getting Wade. Wow.

Everything else for me was just ok. I definitely wanted more out of last night's show.

On an unrelated note; the costumes this week were AWFUL. Especially on the girls. What is up with the crap-tacular outfit Courtney had to wear for the hip hop? She was crazy and frumpy. And those awful things both the girls had to wear for Broadway were something out of a moth filled costume room from the community theatre in Nowheres-ville IL. Ew. I wonder if moms worldwide are starting to worrying about the scantilly clad women on the show and the producers decided to make it more family orriented. Even the spankies got longer.

As for who I think will go home, I don't know. I think Josh may win the whole thing. Well, I don't even think that. I just hope he does. Here is the order I would place them in if I got to be the single judge and the order in which I will vote (since I don't know what America is thinking...):

4th: Twitch - America loves him. Some girl wants to marry him. Crazy. But the other dancers are better....
3rd: Katee - amazing dancer. She doesn't need this show. Mia is going to hire her tomorrow.
2nd: Courtney - wow. So much improvement and so much to offer.
1st: Josh - DAMN. He isn't trained?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I think one of the judges even called him an "everything dancer."

So who got tickets to the show? i'm thinking about it....

Todd and Ronni vote: Katee

We are going for Katee to win.

My vote, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE LET MARK AND CHELSIE GO HOME.....that is all.

comments:

Hot Mess of the night – Tabby's and Nappy's choreography. Can we actually get someone who knows how to choreograph hip hop? I absolutely positively hated it.

Just plain Hot – Joshua and Katee's contemporary piece. The lifts were amazing. Joshua was so strong and there for Katee. Katee is completely fearless and attacks everything she does.

Solos – Courtney always does a great job. Twitch's solo was super fun and his ticks are stellar.

Please go home Mark and Chelsea! If this boy is in the top four or God forbid..... wins this show, I don't think I can stand to watch this show ever again.

Scott and Vanessa vote: Twitch and Chelsie

WOOOOAH! That was a ROCKIN night! Crazy sick routine after crazy sick routine... ok, there were some not so amazing ones... but for the most part, we loved it.

We are voting for Twitch and Chelsie. We are really torn about it this week. We are choosing Chelsie because we are down in the points a bit and we need to vote for our girl Courtney: all or nothing! But we think it's almost a coin flip between Courtney and Chelsie. At the same time, we think it's almost a coin flip for Twitch and Mark too. Mark was better last night, but Twitch was better for the last two weeks. Ultimately we went with Twitch because we think America may like Mark more (although that dumb shirt thing in his solo may make us sorry for going this way).

Highlights: Joshua and Katee's sick paso doble routine and Mark and Courtney's sick jazz piece! Watching them back to back made me jump out of my chair!

By the way: Cat was so hilariously awesome when she put in that grill!

Mikey votes: Twitch and Courtney

[notes coming...]

Seth and Melinda vote: Mark and Courtney

We are going to sadly say Mark and Courtney.

Jenna votes: Twitch and Katee

I have no idea who is going home. Honestly.

Let's say Twitch and Katee.

Wow, the worst part about last night was Cat's dress. The dancing was insane. I think may favorite routine of the night was the Jazz Routine from Mark and Courtney. She has really come a long way from week 1 and looked amazing in both routines last night AND in the numbers from last week.

I also really enjoyed Katee and Josh. He's pretty darned incredible and I would be very happy if he won the whole thing. His lines are so good!

Twitch was the weakest link this week and I felt that it was in part due to some choreography and costume issues. That hip hop routine should have been off the hook - and it wasn't. It was good, there is no question, but it did not make me want to jump off the sofa in excitement like the jazz routine and the paso doble did. Seriously, at like 2am I was jumping off the sofa and cheering. I wanted the hip hop to do that and it didn't. I felt like the choreography was good but it could have been so much more and I couldn't see anything in those costumes. I get the whole baggy hip hop thing, but there were too many layers and they didn't move with the bodies of the dancers, so I couldn't tell what they were doing.

Anyway, I have NO CLUE which girl will go home. They were all outstanding. I think I only voted for Katee because they may vote for the other girls instead. It was like pulling a name out of a hat...

THAT was the show I was waiting for all season.

Todd and Ronni vote: Twitch and Courtney

Sigh. We're going to go with the other two people who were in the bottom last week because "America" wants them gone: Twitch and Courtney

Twitch's Mambo was not good and they hip hop routine didn't have enough dancing to make him shine. We like Courtney, but she just keeps ending up in the bottom so we think she'll be there again.

We would actually like to see Mark and Chelsie gone. Will is a much better dancer than Mark. We were hoping Mark would get injured and Will would be back in, but alas... Chelsie has never had to dance for her life. She doesn't do anything better than Susie did. Just solo latin dancing.

Bye bye Comfort... We're still confused on how she made it this far. There's no way she can hold on for another week. We feel for Mark because he is good, but his solo wasn't great and he was in the only routine that the judges didn't like. We think it just might be the thing that kicks him to the curb this week.

Favorites of the night: Katee and Twitch's Mia Michaels routine. Katee was phenomenal, but we thought that Twitch got way too much praise. In the actual dancing that he did do, he looked floppy and clunky. Sorry Twitch, but Katee totally stole the show. We also loved Will's solo. Some of the moves weren't as awesome as they could have been, but we give him props for pulling it out.

Our team totally rocked it out last night. As noted by the judges, Katee has been bringing it since day one. No matter who she's paired with or the style of dance, she consistently shines. Courtney is getting stronger and stronger each week and her solos are absolutely beautiful. We're confident that we'll see our girls in the final four!

Mikey votes: Joshua & Chelsie

[notes coming...]

Seth and Melinda vote: Mark and Comfort

Courtney and Will: Usually, we hate Don Juan DeMarco or whatever the hell that choreographers name is. This week, not so much. We like the Samba routine and thought it was well executed. When Will's technique was on, it was really hot. Their hip hop routine, not so much. I don't really prefer that soft, slow type of hip hop. If it's going to be done, it needs to be amazing or I lose interest. It just fell sort of flat for us. I'm not sure if it was the choreography or the dancing or both, but it was just kind of meh for us. Courtney will probably be sharing the bottom with Comfort. Um, and as for James Brown...let's not ever do that again. I love James Brown, I love me some true Soul, but really?? That made me feel weird.

Katee and Twitch: We think Katee is a really great dancer and will probably be in the top four. Twitch, maybe not. He could be in the bottom this week. He's completely sick at what he does, but I feel like they are too easy on him during the routines. I think he's a little too clunky and unrefined. The contemporary routine was good, but not amazing. Replace Twitch with someone else, maybe it would have flowed better. It was good though. The jazz routine was cute. That is all I can say about that. We are such tough critics!

Comfort and Mark: Ok, I know people either love or hate Comfort, but no matter what she is so good I could just lose it when it comes to hip hop. It's street and dirty like hip hop needs to be. I thought that their hip hop routine was really good. Even Mark did really well, although not as good as Comfort. Their Foxtrot was better than I thought it would be, but that isn't saying much. Mark's solo was great, but I think they are both going home this week.

Chelsie and Joshua: Chelsie is the hottest thing ever, "yes she is" (I HATE when Mary Murphy says that). But she really is. And not just because she is our only teammate left. The tango that they did...oh my. It was so hot. Very well danced. I almost cried because she looked so amazing. Joshua did a great job too. He has such wonderful versatility and a charming personality, we think he'll be in the top 4. Even though we loathe Disco, this one didn't make us want claw our eyes out. It was good, even with the screw up. They have great chemistry and both adapt well to every new partner they get.

Episode 6 votes!

Tena votes: Mark and Comfort

Kherrington and Mark - I think they gave them a really difficult routine. I disagree that it was all her fault. Mark also needs to know how to follow his partner while she is spinning, especially if she gets away from him.

Star of the night? GEV!!! Gev's solo - Homeboy came out like gangbusters and said I am NOT going home! I loved the use of the shirt. Also loved the routine with Chelsea. That was a nice piece of choreography. Finally someone choreographed to the music. Chelsea's performance projection is near perfect.

Hot mess of the night? Comfort and Twitch - Comfort wobbled and bobbled on those heels all across the floor.

Just plain hot? Joshua and Kourtni's Rhumba. My man Josh was working those hips.

Will and Katee - I really wanted to see these two do a hot piece of choreography. They are both so talented. I think they did the best they could with what they were given, but the choreo was pretty lame. The use of the boat didn't allow them to showcase their talents. BUT their pas de deux.... oh my gosh. That was amazing. I think Will is the best damn all around dancer I have seen. He can do it all!

Our team looked great tonight. Katee and Courtney both had awesome solos! For solos, they are definitely the best girls left.

Courtney's routines were great, though she did look a little limp in the hip hop... which was the point I guess, but we don't think it showcased her. It was a rad routine - especially liked the electric kiss. The Rhumba was sick! All around goodness.

Katee's first routine was a waste of good talent. They danced it well... just a little silly routine though... and then there was the Pas de Deux was SO SO SO GOOD!

Train wreck? Mark & Kherrington's two-step. Wow that sucked. Worst routine of the night... worst routine of the season... worst routine of the show!

Seth and Melinda vote: Mark and Kherrington

What a strange ride this Season has become so far. There are times that we find ourselves elated with excitement, nearly shouting at the screen for the visual orgasm that is being shown (Hip-Hop solos, Contemporary/Lyrical, Bollywood, Mia Michaels)... and yet we also find ourselves in a WTF mood for some of the routines and the judges comments and the overall shift that this season feels to have taken from the previous seasons.

It was really sad to see Gev go. Not only was he our team member, but also, we feel it was undeserved at this time. His solos were slick and out of most of the other male dancers, we feel he has grown the most. Something that the show and judges once applauded, but now which seems to take a back seat to an underlying political agenda. While it is America that decides the final outcome it is unfortunate that they are being fed garbage (especially from Lithgow).

Now for the performances -

Chelsea and Gev - Contemporary. Amazing. Don't remember the name of the choreographer, but this is her 2nd and it was just as much of a success. Gev was again out of his element but we feel he really stepped up. Jive - Why oh why do they still bring this dance to the table. Still Chelseas ballroom experience was again shown. Lithgow was too hard on Gev.

Katie and Will - Broadway was ho-hum. It just seemed like they were running around and moving around a lot. Pade Du - We were speechless. This proved the strength of both of their dancing.

Twitch and Comfort - Twitch has never done a ballroom piece well and this time was again no exception. His torso and carriage is weak and he seems to klump around like a Clydesdale.
Of course they redeemed themselves with a very sick hip-hop, but that was to be anticipated.

Mark and Kherington - Again the standards of the show are lowered with what Melinda has coined the Poo Step. Why this was even introduced is beyond. Jazz was ok. Thats all there is to say about it.

Joshua and Courtney - Pop N Lock was straight on. Joshua is insane and his Rhumba hip action almost superseded Courtney's.

So now our team is a solo one. Chelsea is strong, and hot, and hippy, and its those things we will be riding on to take her to the top.

Jenna votes: Mark and Kherrington

Hmm this one is hard.

I'm going to go with Mark and Kherrington. Really I think it's Mark and either Comfort or Kerringotn but I think that the hip hop routine may have saved her...

Again Cat's dress was awful Seriously, girl needs a new stylist. More thoughts later...

Todd and Ronni vote: Mark and Comfort

Didn't know Chelsie was carrying Mark so much, and his competition is harsh, so we think he's gone. And, sadly, Comfort aka Jessica is going to go, too....again, although we've never seen her try so hard. Kherington was a close second...she's in trouble when it comes to actually being led.

We had no idea Jessica had been dancing injured this whole time, wow, good on her! Love how she was all "See you on tour!" just a little smug, just to let us know she still had that. Glad Comfort finally had a fantastic dance, in her genre, with a good partner. That first Bride of Frankenstein routine with Josh and Courtney was fun and had they not told us it wasn't Tabitha and Napoleon, we would have totally thought they did it. We thought Courtney rocked it. First white girl not to get ripped apart for hip hop. We realized that Chelsea does the same freaking thing at the little dance at the show beginning and then did 30 seconds more in her solo. She might be in trouble for that. Love Josh and Katee. A plague on whoever took them! They were in our top 3 with Will. Grrrrr.

Here is the breaking news: Jessica is injured and they are bringing Comfort back in her place.

Todd and Ronni will keep the 2 points they got for Comfort being voted off in Round 5.

Jenna takes Comfort version 1.2 in place of the injured Jessica. When Comfort is re-voted off Jenna will get whatever points she is worth at the new time she is voted off.

Episode 5 votes!

Tena votes: Thayne and Comfort

Highlights this week for me:

Joshua and Katee's Bollywood - Best thing of the night! They both matched each other so well, great synchronization.

Twitch & Kherington! Really don't like when they do krumping in SYTYCD but I thought that Twitchington did a really good job. Kherrington came out strong and hit it hard which I was surprised at, but it goes to show you just how much energy krumping takes. Girlfriend died at the end, but overall she was much better than any other girl I have seen do it on the show.

There was SO much not to like on this show:

Joshua and Katee's Waltz - They were hitting it too hard, rather then making it smooth and polished.

Comfort and Thayne's Modern POS - Oh my Jesus. That was painful to watch. Poor Comfort looked like someone in their high school recital. Comfort's arms looked like sticks glued to her body. Super hot mess.

Jessica - The only reason this chick has not gone home is because of Will. He has to drag her butt all across the floor every week and does it admirably. I want her voted off, I just don't think they will do it.

Scott and Vanessa vote: Thayne and Comfort

Our Bottom 3 are:
Thayne and Comfort
Will and Jessica
Twitch and Kherington

Comfort and Thayne must be going home. We were thinking that before the show even started, and then the train wreck that was their contemporary piece put the nail in their coffin. Sad for Thayne because other than his weirdo smile he is a'ight. But two weak partners didn't help...

Will and Jessica are next on the list. Their jazz/contemporary piece did look great (like something out of Cirque du Soleil) and it was great that Jessica actually got into it... but I think America will struggle understanding it... add that to their HORRID quick step, and they will be dancing for their lives. I'm glad Nigel or Mary or whoever mentioned that his jacket wasn't fitting... I was thinking that the whole time. Damn wardrobe! Seriously, how many times have we said that this season?

Twitch and Kherington are the last couple in our list because while Kherington did much better than we expected in the Krump routine, she still fell apart in the end... and Twitch was all over the place in the Tango routine. I think his carriage and foot action are really going to be slammed the next time he does a ballroom piece.

Other thoughts:

One of the best moments last night was when Mia said "I want to stab you, you are so gorgeous" to Chelsie. lol. Yeah, that sums it up for us too... she rocks.

Courtney is looking hotter and hotter each week. Two good performances, so we don't think they will be in the bottom 3, although they will need to step it up a little more to compete against some of the other dancers in the coming weeks.

Bollywood routine. Definitely the best routine of the night. Those spins on the floor were very cool, but I loved how in sync they were and the intricacies of their hand / arm movements.

Mikey votes: Thayne and Comfort

Time is up time to go home.

Seth and Melinda vote: Thayne and Comfort

Bottom 3:
Comfort and Thayne
Jessica and Will
Kherington and Twitch

Chelsie and Mark: Still our favorite couple. We loved both the Salsa and Broadway. Mark may not have been 100% perfect with the Salsa, but his performance is so amazing that he really pulls it off. He is very unique, and she is just so classy. I think Seth and I agree that Chelsie is the hottest person ever. Her dancing is amazing. Her hip movement, her connection to her partner, her passion and true involvement and interest in each routine...we could go on and on. Mark may need to step it up as time goes on, but they are still extremely safe this week.

Comfort and Thayne: Our votes to go home, for sure. Once they leave (ok, well that will still leave Jessica...bleh) it's going to be a really tough call on who will go in the weeks to follow. For now though, we are still with Comfort and Thayne as the ones to go. While she may be doing the choreography, she is barely getting by. She is completely sick when it comes to her own style, but that just isn't crossing over to other styles. It's all very surface, there is no depth to her dancing. I think she has great potential with some training, but she is very lacking at this point. Props to her though for hanging in there as long as she has. Poor Thayne. I think he really is a great dancer. He hasn't really had choice partners though. He's pretty dorky, which probably doesn't help, but once he starts dancing, he is really great. We were actually pretty impressed with his hip hop. We thought we would be embarrassed for him, but not so much. We wish he could stay to see what he can do with someone else, but he also has our vote to go home.

Jessica and Will: We think they will be in the bottom three and can't wait until they get split up, so she can't ride along on his coat tails. We love Mia Michaels all around and I think she is the most legit judge on that panel. I don't always agree with her, but we certainly did tonight when she spoke up with that slap of reality about Will looking tired of carrying her. So true. The contemporary/jazz/sex shenanigans would have been amazing with Will and someone else. Anyone else. Chelsie, Katee, me... Seth even. Beautiful music and choreography, but regardless of what the judges said, we didn't like it with them dancing it together. And the Quick Step... bleh. I'd rather watch people floss on stage, really. Will may have the same issues my husband Danny did last year. Amazing dancer, but personality wasn't quite there, although Danny did pick it up in the end. We will be happy to see what happens with a new partner. Bottom 3 for sure.

Courtney and Gev: It has been wonderful to see them come up out of almost nowhere and then just blow people away. We love our boy Gev and he's been doing well, but after his disgustingly amazing solo last week we really think he is the dark horse right now. He and Courtney have a great partnership. Gev steps up to whatever he is given, and even if it's not perfect, it still looks great. Courtney is another surprise. We loved her audition, but then we didn't like her after that so much. Now both of their personalities are coming out and they are really just nailing it. Even if they did get a really stupid "run around and point at imaginary things" routine last week...it proves they can make anything work. Hopefully they won't fall apart individually when they get split up.

Kherington and Twitch: Twitch looked great during the Krump routine. He is a great dancer, but we just don't feel connected to him as much anymore. We feel like the judges have been easier on them than they should have been in the past. Fortunately, they were a little harder on them, as they should be at this point. Kherington had a few good moments during that routine, but lost it at the end, even to the point of screwing up the choreography. We've all done it, but again, at this point things like that shouldn't really be happening. It's like when people forget lyrics on American Idol. The second routine fell flat for us. We feel like they weren't up to par this week, and that will probably land them in the bottom 3.

Katee and Joshua: The Viennese Waltz was kinda meh for us. Not bad or good. We loved loved loved the Bollywood routine. Not only was it completely refreshing to have something new, but they danced it wonderfully. Not that I'm a Bollywood expert, but from what I've seen that was a great representation of the dance. They will stick around for a while, but maybe not for the top 4. Safe this week though, for sure.

On a side note, we think that Nigel is creepier than ever and almost kind of a jerk unnecessarily sometimes. What a gross perv. And Mary and her weird laugh are more out of control than ever. Kudos to my second husband, Pasha and Anya for great choreography. We hope they take Jean Marc's place. Bleh.

Jenna votes: Thayne and Comfort

Going home: Comfort and Thane - only because I think the judges will keep Jessica after the contemporary performance from this week.

Does anyone else think Nigel is a creepy old man? His comments to Cat and Chelsie this week were a little bit more than complementary. And again what was Cat wearing? Last week's dress was atrocious and that was better than this week's! It looked like she bought a really great dress and threw it in the wash all the color came out and then she didn't iron it before she put it on.

Anyway on to the dancing:

Chelsie and Mark - I loved the salsa routine. This was one of the first partner dancing routines where I was thinking, "It would be awesome if you just took smaller steps! You look like Frankenstein!" I totally expected this from Cheslie. Wow, she's incredible. And I loved both dresses she wore this week. (So much better than last week's foxtrot dress, which looked like Big Bird threw up after eating blue cotton candy.) Cheslie is amazing. I think she will be in the top 3.

Comfort and Thayne - In the interview Comfort said "I'm so excited I finally get to do my own genre." Which is pretty much what she said a few weeks ago when she did the Krump routine. Frankly, she annoys me. Dancing aside, I want her to go home because I think she is irksome and has floated by on the show. She's like the kid in high school who is in all the honors classes but gets all C's because they're smart enough to know that if you don't try all that hard, you'll still be mildly successful. Anyway, what was with that whole "married" bit at the end of the hip hop routine? How cheesy to have a giant ring on her finger that she's showing off but only at the end. I mean come on. If these choreographer's are so genius can't they find a less cheesy way to indicate that she's taken. I might as well have been watching mime. At least then Comfort and Thayne would get trapped in a box and my annoyance would be lessened. The routine was danced ok. I didn't really find myself that excited about it and I usually am with hip hop. The fakeness really showed in the Mandy Moore routine. Comfort's arms and legs looked like she was forcing them into different positions. I also agree with Nigel in wanting to see someone else do that routine and I felt that was because my initial reaction was to hate the choreography and then I realized that they didn't dance it well.

Jessica and Will - Yay, Jessica finally did something right!!!! That contemporary routine was pretty amazing. It's so hard to be captivating in the quiet moments and they were. Wow. On an unrelated note, I think Jessica and Will may be a little more into each other than just dance parters. There's a little something there. The quickstep was weird. The going in and out of different styles (jive, the twist....etc.) just didn't flow. It looked like they were excited to do those parts because they knew them and then they'd get to the real quick step stuff and would tighten up and lose that confidence. Mia's comments about Will needing a new partner were so rough. Wow, I can understand why she doesn't feel confident. I think she's right but wow that was harsh. If she stays, she's going to have a hard time. I don;t think she will be able to be confident next week.

Courtney and Gev - I thought the Cha Cha was ok. It wasn't great but it was pretty good. Mary Murphey's sense of humor would be great for pre-schoolers - cha cha cha cha. Yuck. The jazz routine was awesome. I loved it. I think Courtney has really come a long way and has a good chance at doing quite well. Gev looked great also. Especially considering his background. I thought this was just so fun and the energy was fantastic.

Twitch and Kerrington - I will agree with the judges that this was pretty darn good for Kerrington. The first 2 thirds especially were really nice and Twitch was of course amazing in his element. I did love the breathing bit in the middle. The tango was another story. I actually thought they danced it ok, but I didn't see as much passion as I would have liked. At one point the music had a deep bass and drum really hitting every other beat and I felt like the hits the dancers made did not match. It just wasn't quite there. But, it was nice to see a lot of tango elements in the choreography.

Josh and Katee - I hate these the routines by Jean-Marc. I shouldn't say that, I think they are beautiful, but I really want to see more waltz. Maybe if they had danced it better it would have looked like waltz. But that Bollywood number was so fun! They really looked great and I thought it was really cool to see that as a form of dance on the show. It was so cool!!

I can't wait to see everyone with the different partners!!!!

Todd and Ronni vote: Thayne and Comfort

We are voting for Thayne and Comfort to be "offed". Boy do the judges not like Comfort anymore. Mia even said she lost her vote last night. Ouch. And after Comfort's lackluster "save me...maybe" dance last week, we don't think she has it in her. Thayne can dance and so some cool things, but they can't forget his super-smile, and even getting rid of it...mostly...this week might be too little too late.

Other possible bottom 3 couples:

They really lit into Twitch this week, and even Kherrington a little, so they might end up in the bottom, although we just love them and think the fans will vote to keep them outta there.

Will and Jessica will most likely end up in the bottom, especially since the judges oh-not-so-subtlety suggested it was time for Will to get a new partner. Then Jessica will be gone, but only if Comfort just blows them away in the dance-off.

Courtney and Gev - they just aren't America's sweethearts, even though they are fabulous in whatever they do now. Gev's dance to save his life last week was the best dancing we'd seen in a dance-off so far. Wow, that was cool. We almost hope he's in the bottom again just to see him dance!

Scott and Vanessa vote: Thayne and Comfort

We think the bottom three are:
Will and Jessica
Thayne and Comfort
Matt and Kourtni

Thayne and Comfort are the ones to go home. Comfort got a lot of praise tonight from the judges, but we think that she is the weakest girl by far. And we say Thayne because he is one of the weakest guys and we just never believe him.

Favorites of the night: Joshua & Katee's contemporary, Will & Jessica's lyrical jazz, and Twitchington's contemporary routine. All awesome and super HOT! (Vanessa just likes the routines where the guys with 6packs don't have shirts on ;).

Other thoughts:

There were a number of routines this week that we thought "not good enough". Just a couple more weeks of weeding out the weaker dancers and then we will have an awesome show!

Will and Jessica's Jive made Scott want to puke. Why o why would someone think kicking like that and holding your arms like that looks good? *hurl!* And then Nigel and Mary want hip movement. Yeah... Jive sucks a nut.

We both liked Mark and Chelsie's Fox Trot. Partnering was good... good rise and fall... solid. And I like that Mark thought he did poorly even though he did pretty well - that perfectionism and lack of ego is nice to see and will help get him to the top.

Mia Michaels. She is like a golden ticket.

The West Coast Swing routine was so stale for me. The connection in the swing dances is so hard to fake and man did that show. I think Benji could have given them some choreography that would allow them to fake it a little easier... everything was start, stop, butt wiggle, wash, rinse, repeat. Sad to say it, because Joshua and Katee rock!

Courtney G is stepping it up more and more each week! Awesome.

Finally!!!

Wedensday is show that we can put some oooomph behind! There were 3 times that both Mel and I were like WTF!! Robert Muraine, Courtney, and Gev. Our boy Gev stole the show. That was some sick stuff. Finally some entertainment. Courtney is finally the first girl to show what it is like to dance for your life.

Back to Tuesday -

Thayne and Comfort - Thayne just looks uncomfortable sometimes. Maybe it is because he is so short. Its almost like when you take your fingers and make them dance on your hand, that is what he looks like on stage sometimes. We want him to do better. Really. Sadly he is just not up to par with any of the other males on the show in regards to entertainment value. Comfort did impress us by dancing out of her element and we felt that is what would have kept her safe.

Matt and Kourtni - Ahhh you poor misunderstood souls. We want to attach to you, Kourtni... there is just something that we can't latch onto. Your hip hop was terrible. And Matt... my friend you did do better than your partner but still. Props for not pointing your toes in everything. Sadly the end of the line is coming for you soon.

Will and Jessica - JESSICA GO HOME!! I know I know, we keep saying that. As for Will. I know that the judges love him. I don't know about America . We honestly aren't as attached to him. He is a genius in body movement. But there is something distant about his dancing or his soul in dancing that feels just out of reach. It is sort of the same thing that happened with Danny last year. Ummm and the Jive... It should have been the bottom 3 kiss of death.

Katie and Joshia - Ok, we are all dancers here and we can admit a poorly planned and executed swing routine when we see one. It was a train wreck. Benji did such a good job last year with Pasha and Sara. This was a nightmare. The kiss of Gold having Mia Michaels is redemption for them. Joshua is an entertainer. He just lights up the stage no matter what. Katie... well... we are kind of meh about her sometimes. I think its because she gets this look on her face, only occasionally, kind of like when you have to go number 2 but there isn't a bathroom, so you hold it in miserably... thats the look.. and it can't be avoided.

Twitch and Kherington - I think I'm over Twitchington. They also get Mia Michaels. They also will be safe. The Pasa Doble was just not good. Twitch really seems to suffer when it comes to any kind of Ballroom partner dancing and it is frustrating that the judges don't call him out more on it. Kherington just look weird with that toothy growly grin. I really do want to love them more. They have great personalities. But I think it is lacking in their performances.

Courtny and Gev - They are both the Dark Horses of this competition. It seems though, that thus far they have gotten a fair share of really shitty routines. Courtney hit that Hip Hop so hard, we couldn't stop watching her. Gev was a bit of a let down since it was closer to his element. However their chemistry is good. It seems pretty obvious that he is way into her, or at least that is the appearance their relationship gives on the show.

Chelsie and Mark - What can we say. Still our favs. Sick chemistry. Despite the judges comments, we feel like Mark had an excellent carriage, better than any of the other males that have done any routines that require it. Chelsie's dress looked like Cookie Monster swallowed Big Bird and then threw up (this is the 2nd time she has been given an outfit that doesn't compliment being able to watch her move). Mark is quarky. Chelsie is a tomboy. But somehow they just work together and she ends up looking classy and he sophisticated.

Here is a small rant again - Most of these routines are sucking hard. It is so sad that the dancers solos are beating out a majority of the routines in creativity and entertainment value. It was so nice, back in the day when one could think to themselves "I wonder what Shane Sparks, Wade Robson, and Mia Michaels are going to bring this week". Now we just have to wonder before each routine "is this going to not suck?". When it comes down to it, we love to be entertained and it is lacking somewhat this season. Its like its swallowed up in a series of mediocre semi-acceptable performances. The dancers do bring it with their personalties, but we are just not connecting this year with the choreography a majority of the time, especially in the hip hop arena, which used to be a forte for the show.

Jenna votes: Matt and Kourtni

[notes coming...]

Todd and Ronni vote: Matt and Kourtni

Our bottom couples are:

Matt and Kourtni - We didn't throughly enjoy either routine and think America will be as indifferent and not vote to keep them. Matt did alright with the smooth hip hop. He was much better about not toe-pointing, but the judges still picked them apart. They supposedly came back somewhat with the latin routine, but I was screaming at Kourtni because she was so stiff. It's a latin dance...you gotta shake those hips! When it comes to dancing for their lives, Matt will do his same old kicks and spins and be gone. Kourtni, who impressed us with a choreographed life-saving dance last week, will have to pull that out double this week to be safe.

Thayne and Comfort - They will probably end up in the bottom, but not because of Comfort. She is really bringing it. The judges love her, too. Depends on the people willing to plunk down a dollar a vote. If they end up in the bottom, Comfort will save herself again, but Thayne may not. He's been called a phony before.

Will and Jessica - They got sucky Jive. Yuck. Right in the bottom because of that, but mostly because of Jessica. Then they got their own style: contemporary, and did really well, but Will still did better. Jessica can't quite emote. Just like Thayne. It comes across phony. Will can dance for his life. Jessica...don't think she's got it in her.

Episode 3 votes!

Tena votes: Chris and Jessica

Unfortunately my own guy Chris. He never finished his moves and his arms show no control. He starts off strong and finishes weak. I think he has a conditioning problem. Did you see the way he was breathing so hard after the routine and never recovered his breath? They are all trained dancers, that shows a conditioning problem. Oh well, I think I am going to lose a person off my team.

Also I think that Will and Jessica were a hot mess. Chelsea and Thayne were horrific and she really overpowered Thayne. Their only redemption in my eyes was the fact that the choreography was really god awful, so totally not their fault. So the girl I think will go home is Jessica.

Now on to the best of the night. Courtney and Gev. That was hot!!!!! Girlfriend was working that dress! I love her passion and her performance face.

Hey what is up with all the bad choreography. This is the worst season ever for choreographers, they are all so horrible!

Scott and Vanessa vote: Chris and Chelsea

Our team:

Courtney. Ok, let's get this out right away. HOLY HOT AMAZING SEXY WOW WOW WOW DRESS!!! Oh my. Wow. Other girls have worn stuff like that, but man, she really sold it. Just... wow. Anyway, both of them were great, but who the hell was watching Gev?

Katee. And speaking of other girls that wear dresses like Courtney's... here's Katee! For being shy, she actually looked pretty comfortable in it. We just would really have liked to have have Joshua wear something a little more fancy to match... or at least not clash. We didn't like this routine as much as the judges did, but it was still solid. Although the beginning was ON, up until the walks forward.

Chelsea. Sad to say it, but the best part of Thayne and Chelsea's routine was the ending. Quickstep has been the deathblow to many a couple. But they definitely should have danced it better. All around stinker.

Other thoughts:

Will and Jessica's routine was alright... but the lifts/drops/aerials that were later in the routine were really rough for me... not so much the lifts themselves (except that deathdrop where she hit her side pretty hard), but the entrances and exits were like, "and now we are doing this aerial... and now we are done doing this aerial..." How about dancing in and out of them?

We miss Shane Sparks! Sometimes Napoleon and Tabitha are good and sometimes they suck. When I first saw Twitch / Kherington's routine I thought: All this candy hip hop crap is driving me nuts. Shane did the same awesome stories but it was always hot AND it was like BET... this isn't even MTV... it's like VH1... UGH!

Then when I saw Mark / Chelsie's routine I thought: Holy shit I got chills all the way through it. They were both so SICK! Chelsie's solo moment was so so awesome and emotional - and Mark was totally in character... all the way down to that little moment at the end when they look at each other and Mark looks down, knowing that they just fought and he is going off to work and leaving her but that isn't even what he really wants. Just wow. How is it that Tabitha and Napoleon choreograph one awesome routine and one shit routine every week? Maybe they just shouldn't try to do anything that would be played on BET (i.e. the first routine to Busta Rhymes) and stick to to VH1 stuff (like Leona Lewis, the second routine).

Mikey votes: Thanye and Comfort

[notes coming...]

Seth and Melinda vote: Chris and Jessica

Twitch and Kherington: We feel like they did ok, but we really hated the choreography. That isn't their fault, but I don't feel like they are at the top of my list like they were. We think a lot is riding on their popularity, but they are great dancers.

Courtney and Gev: We think that was such a hot routine. To be honest, nervousness was our first emotion, but they killed it. They have great chemistry and we are so glad they survived that sucky disco from 2 weeks ago. Um, and Courtney looked hot. Seriously.

Comfort and Chris: What. The. Hell. Although we have no problem with the music choice, I think some people may be turned off by it. And that was the least of the issues. It just felt flat and weird. I think Comfort did better than Chris and I think we may be saying goodbye to him this week. Comfort is just sick on her solos, so we think she'll stay.

Jessica and Will: Really, the disco just needs to be shelved for this show. Permanently. Will is great and I think that showed through this routine. He of course, has outstanding lines and always does an amazing job. Jessica needs to go. We think this is her week. Her dancing makes us feel uncomfortable.

Kourtni and Matt: We've been skeptical of Matt and his mega pointy toes. We like Kourtni but haven't loved her. This week, the choreography was amazing and they did amazing. Kourtni didn't look so clunky this week, and they had tons of personality. And I loved her leggings (this is obviously not Seth writing this week).

Chelsea T and Thayne: This was horrible. I think some of that wasn't completely their fault...we didn't like the choreography at all and the song made me want to pull my eyes out. It made us sad, because they both have huge potential. And let's face it, along with the disco, the quickstep is the kiss of death.

Chelsea H and Mark: Our very favorite couple. They've delivered every week. Her sweetness combined with his quirkiness makes for an amazing coupling and chemistry. The hip hop hasn't been as killer as Shane Sparks, but this was perfect. We think they have great potential to be in the top 4. Yay!

Katee and Joshua: As much as we don't really like Katee, they did great on this. Joshua is wonderful. We wonder what will happen if and when they get separated. Not sure how long Katee will hang on her own. They are great together and I felt like cuddling with him. Or something.

Our top couples this week: Court and Gev, Kourtni and Matt, Chelsea H and Mark, and Katee and Joshua. Go home, Jessica and Chris!

Jenna votes: Chris and Comfort

I love the new judge. He's got some really great insight and I thought he was giving the dancers some excellent feedback. I would like to keep him.

This is the first week I have enjoyed anything that Tabitha and Napoleon have done. The prison break routine was awesome. I loved it. What a great routine for Kherington and Twitch to do. I actually liked "Bleeding Love" routine too, which I thought I would hate. Chelsie and Mark were incredible in that routine. They were smooth, and sharp when they needed to be, and passionate and that was a pleasure to see. If that passion were any less, I think I would have hated it because "lyrical hip hop" doesn't work for me. They definitely proved me wrong and that it can work but is difficult to pull off.

I loved the Kourtni and Matt contemporary routine this week. How fun. Everything from the lines to the play fighting and the tie biting was great. It made me want to be in their comic book. It was also nice to see a routine that really fit Matt's quirky personality. Awesome.

The bottom three couples I think are obvious this week: 1) Chelsea and Thayne. Seriously, that looked AWFUL. The only thing I liked about that routine was her dress. And he annoys me. I want him to go away just because I am annoyed. 2) Comfort and Chris. A solid effort but honestly, my roommate's kitten has more fire in it that Chris did and Comfort could have done better. She's annoying too. And 3) Jessica and Will. Too many mistakes - and even the parts they did right are going to have to go beyond doing them right to keep up with everyone else.

Scott, this one's for you: I loved Cat's dress and shoes!!

Todd and Ronni vote: Chris and Chelsea

Bottom 3 couples:
Chris & Comfort - Chris is still a freakin' tree. At least Comfort will be able to dance for her life and get a better partner.
Thayne & Chelsea - They got the shaft by drawing the quickstep, yeah yeah, but they should have stepped it up. Haha, we are so punny.
Matt & Kourtni - We still hate Matt and his pointy toes. Talk about trees, he's a Weeping Willow.

We love love love Tabitha and Napoleon and their "lyrical hip hop" or
whatever they are calling it. They are our favorite choreographers of
all time!

Tena votes: Marquis and Susie

Marquis and Susie. Hated it. Marquis was all over the place and his technique was painful to watch. Please can we get rid of that chick Susie? She uhh.....sucks. I never thought this girl should have been in the top twenty. I want her to go HOME! They did do a killer lift though. But my picks to go home are Marquis and Susie.

I really enjoyed Twitch's and Kherington's routine. Mia was smoking crack for criticizing her. Thayne and Chelsea were pretty bad tonight, worst of the bunch. But I don't think they will be voted out.

Scott and Vanessa vote: Matt and Susie

Ok, Susie is an obvious choice! She and Marquis should land in the bottom 3 and there is no way she is dancing for her life... seriously. She fell out of those basic turns at the beginning of their routine and it just went downhill from there. We struggled with Marquis VS Matt, but ultimately went with Matt because he and Kourtni will likely land in the bottom 3 and he is clunky, doesn't know how to use his arms, kicks and steps weird, and doesn't have a personality.

As for our team? Get. It. Katee. She and Joshua looked great yet again. Courtney also stepped it up... she was a beast in that routine. Then there was Chelsea... That routine was a complete disaster. We couldn't believe it when they complemented the horrendous choreography. And who in wardrobe thought it was a good idea to dressing her up like a clown... she's hot - don't put her in a stupid clown outfit with a some kind of diaper bottoms. Whatever the case, she didn't kill it and she'll need to step up if she wants to compete against Kherington / Katee / Chelsie H, because we know Thayne isn't going to pull her up.

Mikey votes: Thayne and Chelsea

Chelsea & Thayne: their routine was ok but there was really nothing there at all. it was void of emotion or it was like watching someone else try to express an emotion that they were told to feel. but done not well at all.

Joshua and Katee: are the the ones to beat right now. Joshua is did amazing last night in the Broadway routine. he really shows his versatility. but we'll have to see how he does in a partner dance like ballroom or latin numbers. Katee is amazing and i feel as though we haven't even begun to see what she is all about and what she is capable to do.

Susie & Marquise: have a strong partnership but i feel they were dealt a huge blow to there confidence by the comment of the salsa teacher dude. which was not needed at all. but susie really did try, almost sad to say, she tried too hard. she over thought every single one of her movements and the dance was at lack of fire & passion. Marquise's weak point is his partner skills in the more traditional partnered dances. they can both move and extend and really make things happen. so if they make it this week, they will need a contemporary, jazz, or lyrical routine to make them shine and stay in there...

Chris and Comfort: Krump, well it just wasn't KRUMP! so ya... but i think its hard to make a routine for krump. it is a raw and spontaneous dance where 90% of it is made up on the spot and then taken to a whole another level! they played it way safe.

Gev & Courtney: i think they really hit something new this week. Gev really showed his potential but need some direction to help bring it out. the beginning of the routine was great for him, it was masculine and then he slowly lost it thru out the routine. but all of the lifts and carries thru out the piece were amazing but Courtney does need to help him out more. maybe if she can bring that dormant piece out of Gev then they will do amazing things. Courtney's emotion was there and it was powerful but like i said she needs to let Gev show that as well. I put them in the bottom last week but I'm glad they stayed...

Will & Jessica: Will is amazing and has a strong work ethic and it is visible in every kind of movement he makes. and it doesn't lose any of the passion and emotion. with him it really looks like every movement he makes has a purpose and commits to it. and i believe it. Jessica has good movement but i feel like something is holding her back. she has sex appeal and she is beautiful, but, i don't think she can express that or maybe the show is getting to her and she is unable to move the way she really wants to. Will needs to help her and make sure to give her a safe haven to let her grow and move to another level in her dancing and her life. cuz you really cant have growth in dance and expect not to grow as a person... it all fits together and we are the only ones who can make our life grow to a point others can see it and feel it.

Matt & Kourtni: they were on the same page this week. emotionally and story-wise as well. they had a great, fun dance that had a lot of room for the them to play with and i think they did. Kourtni's arm extension, when she was connected to matt, were not great they didn't match his and weren't elegant. and Matt has a problem with his legs. a lot of the time if you notice on his last 2 pieces, his leg snaps a lot, i dare say too much, from the knee down. it dosent look right to me. but over all they are great dancers and are great match for each other. i expect more from them both though...

Mark & Chelsie: i think they are an underdog that no one quite pays attention to. they had a strong piece last week and followed it up again with another strong attempt at the Argentine Tango. and they fit it to a T! Mark was the ultra macho man with a heart for romance, like every latin man may i add! Chelsie is beautiful and really went for the "look what i can do to you" mentality that woman take when doing this dance. their connection was amazing and execution was flawless! i expect to see them both do very well and i cannot wait to watch there personal growth on this show!

Twitch & Kherington: wow Twitch is really breaking it down! he really excelled a great deal with this routine. i think the added emotional value of having this piece done for a greater purpose and reason really helped both of these dancer hit a new high. He portrayed a strong, supportive and loving man that would carry his love thru anything. that was shown when he held Kherington in his arms like a small child and danced the waltz pattern. this spoke volumes, almost as he was saying that "dont worry" and he will dance for them both. Kherington really does have it all, beauty, technique and grace. but she really does lack only one thing and that is life experience. as a dancer, or artist for that matter, you have to be able to draw from
life experiences to help you create a moment and express it to the masses. were those be good, bad, beauty or ugliness, you have them to take from and use them to make your dance all that more real. but both really are amazing dancers that i hope will come to blow our minds on the show!

Seth and Melinda vote: Marquis and Susie

Please for the love of all that is holy take Susie away! She is a phony and I don't even know how or why she ever made it to Vegas or further. They keep saying she is Sexy... but she isn't. Marquis just gets drug down with the filth, but he is also forgettable. His Salsa was terrible terrible as well.

Our team: Chelsie H. - Killed It. Sexy and Hot. Plus you are a part of a great dynamic partnership. Thayne - You were a slight disappointment this week my friend. That aside from the fact that you had to do a rather shitty choreography in shitty costuming. Gev. - You stepped it up a bit this week. Props to the B-Boy.

Let me just say that overall I was pretty disappointed this week. Not so much with the dancers, but with the routines and the choreography. I find myself being less entertained this Season so far. I don't care a lick for the Hip Hop. Maybe once they filter out the dancers that just need to go (I have 5 on my list) then we will really see some good stuff, although without Sparks I just don't know...

Jenna votes: Thayne and Susie

I really liked: Chelsie H and Mark, Twitchington, Courtney and Gev, and of course Joshua and Katee. I agreed with the judges about Chelsie's Tango in that in was technically excellent but didn't showcase enough passion. I was absolutely amazed by some of her footwork in that number. Courtney and Gev's performance was my favorite of the night. It was so nice to see Gev really step up in that routine. It was also danced that number with such masculinity and that was a pleasure to see. Frankly, I'm not sure the male contemporary dancers on the show could have have that quite as well. Kherington and Twitch did an amazing job as well and I feel like the judges are on crack for saying that she smiled to much during that piece. And Joshua and Katee managed to take a style that I hate and make me love what they've done with it. Awesome.

As for those I didn't like: Susie. I think she's awful. And as for the routines: Obviously, I hated the salsa routine. I was also disappointed with the number that Chris and Comfort did. I expected more from Comfort and I also thought Chris was a little soft.

To be honest, I have not been a fan of any of the hip hop on the show so far. I miss Shane Sparks (he's doing an opening routine for the results show and I can't wait!!). It seems like there is a certain rawness that either the choreographers have been neglecting or the dancers have not been able to capture. At this point, I'd even take a Dan Karaty routine over the stuff we've seen so far. The contemporary stuff, however, is amazing. Wow.

Yay! Shane Sparks!

Todd and Ronni vote: Chris and Kourtni

Chris - because the judges hate him and made it very clear to America. We could hear them subliminally chanting: "vote Chris off, vote Chris off, vote Chris off".

Kourtni - something about her aesthetic we don't like, plus she was in the bottom last week and we think America already dislikes her, so they will put here there again.

Our bottom 3 couples would be:

Chris and Comfort - Although we want Comfort to stay; white boy can't hang with the krump. We didn't think the choreography was very representative of krumping, but T said it might have been because Chris couldn't get it.

Marquis and Susie - Again, we want Susie to stay, and she could have rocked out some salsa, but she had to backlead herself through the entire performance because Marquis didn't lead a damn thing. Grrrrrrr. You could tell she wanted to say something about it to the judges, poor girl. At least Nigel noticed. I actually wanted Marquis as one to get voted off, but Todd thinks the judges will get everyone to vote off "The Tree" instead.

Matt and Kourtni - Eh, they can both go. Matt points his toes all the freakin' time, even in hard soled shoes (how does he do that?!!!) and she wobbles a lot. Neither of them complete their movements, never hit anything sharp. Just like one of the judges said, they don't know how to use their lankiness to their advantage and just look sloppy.

Who we think will be the final four and would have picked if others didn't beat us to it:

William (who we did grab and would like to point out that Mia said was a genius)
Joshua (has secret weapons like training in gymnastics and ballet. what else is he hiding?)
Katee (never seen a girl hit so hard who wasn't a popper. we love her dynamic)
Chelsie H. (she's not perfect, but the judges, and America, looooove heeeer)

Episode 1 votes!

Tena votes: Jamie and Jessica

My vote offs for the week are Jamie and Jessica. Jamie looked like a piece of white toast out there and was blah, blah, blah. Jessica couldn't keep her feet under her and I thought she looked extremely klunky.

The couple to watch and who I think will be the crowd favorites are Twitch and Kherington. I thought they got a bad piece of choreo and worked what their mama gave them. Kherington is gorgeous and a beautiful dancer and Twitch has the heart of gold that will endear him to the audience. I don't expect these two to get voted off for a very long time. Go TWITCHINGTON!

Scott and Vanessa vote: Matt and Kourtni

We think Matt and Kourtni are going home this week. Didn't like their choreography... didn't think they danced it well. They will likely be in the bottom 3 couples. The question will be: can they dance for their lives. We think no, but we shall see. :)

We also think either Gev and Courtney, Jamie and Rayven, or Chris and Comfort will be in the bottom 3. Matt might be safe against Jamie or Chris... and Kourtni might be safe against Rayven... but we still think Matt and Kourtni are most likely to go home.

Mikey votes: Gev and Comfort

Gev was alright but didnt show america his fullest potential and didnt come across as a dancer but a person who can imitate and remember choreography.

Comfort, even though I think her fun / ge-hetto attitude will save her, I think that she wont get that many votes since she could show much versatility.

I liked Joshua & Katee! I mean come on she was out of her element and he was in it. together they made me cry for a piece that was full of emotion and well thought out. they're connection was all there; in the spirit and the forcefulness that Josh threw Katee into those air steps were amazing! i look forward to these 2 doing great things.

And Mark & Chelsie. i expect to see better from these 2. i saw the affect of the bright light and big stage this week but if they can get over that nervousness they will do great things.

Seth and Melinda vote: Rayven and Chris

The debate was long on this one. There were quite a few sucky dancers that we wanted to see go. Chris to us still had no personality and if he did, it was forced and awkward. We just didn't care at all for Rayven's dancing and since there were two Hip-Hop routines, one being far superior to the other, then the first would be forgotten pushing the first into the bottom. Then comparing Rayven to the others who she'd be dancing against, it seemed that she would be the likely candidate.

Jenna Stworzyjanek votes: Kourtni and Matt

Frankly, I didn't like any of these performances:

Rayven and Jamie
Kourtni and Matt
Courtney and Gev
Susie and Marquis

First, that "cotton candy hip hop" routine was awful and I blame everyone who was involved. Particularly for Jamie being pantsed. I miss Shane and Wade. Matt has no personality and I was not impressed by Gev. And the waltz was totally flubbed, I don't care what Nigel said. I think I just expecting too much early in the season. I mean they did just get started.

My first instinct was to go think that Gev and Courtney would be voted off first but I like Courtney and she may have saved them. So, I am going to go with Kourtni and Matt mostly because I have already forgotten what they look like.

By the way, is anyone else irritated by Cat Deely? If it wasn't for the crush Nigel has on her legs, I don't think she ever would have gotten the job.

I did really like the Mia Micheal's performance. I get the feeling that if you get her as a choreographer you want to work extra hard because you don't want to disappoint her and it totally showed. I also enjoyed the 2nd hip hop routine (well more than the first).

Ronni and Todd vote: Jamie and Courtney

Jamie was just too cheese ball and really couldn't hang with hip hop, especially after seeing Josh & Katee perform a hip hop routine by the same choreographers that gave us goosebumps. He took Rayven down with him. Courtney...ugh...worst split lift ever, could not hit a pose to save her life. Bleah. And Gev....ew...but Todd insists on Jamie.

The Auditions

----
From Seth
----
While I am impressed with the lineup and think that this year there are going to be a lot of strong competitors. I must say that I am a bit disappointed in the variety. It seems like they have a bevy of lyrical/jazz/classically trained dancers and 1 dancer of each sex from the "other" styles.

That being said, I will be hyper crazy in a few weeks when the routines start pouring in.

I also must say that I was completely blown away by the gall of some of the dancers. Crazy Bendy Alien pop-and-lock guy was insane, but chickens out even without trying, even when the judges are encouraging and supporting him.

Also, what the hell is up with the all the sassy backtalk? How on earth do people function in the professional dance world like that?

This year's top 20 -
12 Classically Trained (9 Contemporary Dancers and 3 Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet)
5 Hip Hop/Freestyle/Break Dancing
2 Latin
1 West Coast

Last Year -
9 Classically Trained
7 Hip Hop/Freestyle/Break Dancing
3 Latin (Includes Lacie who could be considered West Coast as well)
1 Ballroom

The Game and The Rules!

THE GAME

This is a game based around the new season, Season 4, of So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD). There are two parts to the game:

Part One is similar to fantasy football or other type fantasy leagues. The players will draft a team of dancers to play for them... the farther the dancers on the team get, the more points the player gets.

Part Two is the weekly part of the game. Each week two or more people are voted off of the show. After the show and before the results show, each player guesses who they think will get voted off. If they guess right, they will get points.

Whoever has the most points at the end of the show is the winner.

LET'S PLAY FANTASY SYTYCD! :)

THE RULES

1. Part One: Draft

1a. Drafting begins after the first 4-5 episodes of SYTYCD, when the dancers are whittled down to the top 20. At this point we will hold a draft to allow each of the players to choose dancers to make up their team.

1b. We will draw names out of a hat for who gets to draft first, second, etc.

1c. The team size will depend on the number of players. If there are 5 players, the team size will be 4. If there are 6 players, the team size will be 3 (with two of the top 20 not chosen).

1d. The draft will snake, meaning if we've drawn for order and the order is players A, B, C, then D, then the draft would go as follows: A, B, C, D, then back the other way, D, C, B, A, and repeat A, B, C... etc... until all of the teams are chosen.

1e. Points will be awarded to the player for each dancer in the week they are sent home. The later the dancer is sent home, the more points the player will receive:

Points
1 - Weeks 2 and 3
2 - Weeks 4 and 5
3 - Weeks 6, 7, and 8
5 - Finalist
7 - Winner

2. Part Two: Voted Off

2a. Each week dancers are voted off the show. Each player guesses which dancers will be voted off.

2b. Each player must submit their guesses before the results show along with a paragraph stating why they are guessing the way they are and how they thought their team did.

2c. For each dancer the player guesses correctly, the player will be awarded 1 point.
